A non-governmental organisation (NGO) has embarked on a book drive initiative to boost academic and reading culture in Nigeria. Founder, Selfless Service Foundation, Chelsea Jegede said the foundation is a group of young individuals whose vision was to raise new generation of leaders who have selflessness as their core value for Nigeria and Africa. She said the vision is aimed at focussing on educational support and leadership development. Jegede hinted that since 2018, the foundation has been organising a book-drive tagged ‘Get rid of the pile and change a life’, which encouraged people to donate new or neatly packaged books to primary and secondary schools in Lagos.
