MIRI: The incest and teenage rape cases recently reported in Sarawak appear to be the tip of the iceberg. Human Life Service Miri, a group that helps troubled women and girls, said the situation was alarming. “The number of reported instances is high, but there are many more young rape and incest victims whose cases are not highlighted. Bernama reported Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim as saying that the number of incest cases in Sarawak needed to be urgently addressed. “A total of 3,272 incest cases were reported from 2006 to 2015, and the majority of the victims are aged 13 to 15,” she said.
