Ground work on the proposed site for the new hospital in Fort William has began. NHS Highland confirmed that Balfour Beatty started ground investigations at Blar Mhor on Monday October 23 and that the work is expected to last for three weeks. This work will determine the foundation solution for the replacement Belford Hospital. Construction work on the replacement Belford Hospital is expected to begin in 2025with an estimated completion date of 2028.
