PHOENIX – The talk of the annual meeting so far has been Rob Gronkowski’s retirement announcement on Instagram on Sunday night. Including about his less-known community philanthropy, his devotion to his teammates and, believe it or not, even his humility. I saw evidence of the latter two attributes in the NRG Stadium visitor’s locker room in Houston, after the Patriots’ incredible rally from a 28-3 deficit to win Super Bowl LI in overtime, 34-28. The perennial Pro Bowl tight end had been sidelined that season since early December, with a back injury. Because he didn’t take part down the stretch he didn’t feel the celebration was his to immediately share in.
