Impressive results did little to enthuse investors in Kroger Co., America’s largest supermarket chain. The second largest got a similar shrug on Monday after posting solid numbers of its own. Albertsons Cos. saw sales increase more than 21% in the quarter ended June 20 compared with a year earlier, boosted by a 276% surge in digital sales. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization grew 93%. Both measures were largely in line with expectations, yet Albertsons’ shares fell 5.4% on Monday.
