Brittney Griner finished with a season-high 31 points, including two game-winning free throws with 3.1 seconds left, to give the Phoenix Mercury a 65-63 victory over the visiting Atlanta Dream on Sunday. The Mercury have won four of their last five games, while Atlanta (3-10) has lost five of its last six games. Leilani Mitchell contributed 13 points and four assists for the Mercury, who shot just 34.3 percent from the field. Sykes had eight points in that stretch and 22 points overall in the third quarter. The Mercury led 29-25 at halftime behind Griner’s 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field.
