On-going repairs on Kanchpur Bridge have forced vehicles leaving Dhaka to use only one lane on the road at Kanchpur, creating long tailbacks. Meghna Bridge has only two lanes and it has a very steep slope. On Saturday noon, a trailer and a van took around 30 seconds each to pay the tolls at Meghna Bridge toll plaza. That wastes at least a minute every time.”But when it comes to Kanchpur Bridge nowadays, the scene is a bit different. CNS Limited Director Md Ziaul Ahsan Sarwar said they have also taken some steps to tackle extra flow of traffic on Meghna Bridge.
