GEORGE TOWN: Police have found two grenades and 600 bullets kept inside a fire hose reel cabinet of an apartment in Bukit Dumbar, here, on Sunday. It was learnt that the cache of ammunition and explosives were found by a police team from the Narcotics Investigation Department during a follow-up operation at 9pm. Police had earlier detained a suspect at the apartment over a drug-related offence. The man was said to have led the police to the hose reel box, which was located on the 15th floor of the apartment, to look for a drug stash. Details are still sketchy but at Press time, it is learnt that a bomb squad has been deployed to the apartment to conduct inspections.
