Craig attended Yale Law School with Bill and Hillary Clinton and later worked in the Clinton State Department and White House. Manafort agreed that they failed to disclose their lobbying effort, which included disseminating the Skadden report to U.S. government officials. After Craig spoke to Sanger and reporters for several other publications, Manafort emailed Craig that the Ukrainian government was pleased with the rollout.
