Greg O'Rourke named as new A-League bossMATT KING/GETTY IMAGES FFA CEO David Gallop says Greg O'Rourke is the ideal man to take charge of the A-League. Brand and consumer expert Greg O'Rourke has been named as the new A-League boss. Football Federation Australia (FFA) on Thursday announced the appointment of O'Rourke, who has spent the last five years as operations director for PepsiCo Australia and New Zealand. FFA chief executive David Gallop said O'Rourke's strong commercial and financial background in global, brand-driven industries made him the ideal appointment from a strong field of international and domestic candidates. Also a former chairman of football NSW and president of Sutherland Shire Football Association, O'Rourke replaces Damien De Bohun, who stepped down as the competition's chief last month after four years at the helm.
