The five-year-old child died in hospital shortly before 8am this morning following the blaze in Greenwich, south east London. A 34-year-old woman and a second boy, aged 14, remain in hospital in a serious condition. The cause of the fire is not yet known, with police saying they are keeping an open mind. A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "Three people, a 34-year-old woman and two children, sustained injuries and were taken to south London hospitals. "The 34-year-old woman and the second child remain in a serious condition."
