Green thumb: Finance Minister Eatala Rajender planting a sapling to launch police commissionerate green campaign at Markfed grounds in Karimnagar on Friday. | Photo Credit: ;THAKUR AJAYPALSINGHmore-inMinister for Finance and Civil Supplies Eatala Rajender formally launched the plantation of saplings taken up by Karimnagar Commissionerate of Police at the Markfed Grounds in Padmanagar of Karimnagar town on Friday. The Karimnagar Commissionerate of Police decided to take up plantation of 25,000 saplings in Karimnagar town as part of the third phase Haritha Haaram programme. Nurture plantsAccordingly, the police had taken up plantation of 7,000 saplings on the Markfed premises. The police officials also assured to nurture the saplings by watering them regularly and protecting the plants.
