Scottie Greene, an 18-year-old hockey player from Bishop's Falls, has opened his eyes and is responsive following a car accident in St. Stephen, N.B., two weeks ago. Greene, a member of the St. Stephen Aces junior A team, was taken off a ventilator on Sunday, according to his aunt, Tanya Murphy. St. John's midget team, RNC hosting fundraiserThe hockey community continues to rally around Greene, with the latest fundraiser popping up on the Avalon Peninsula. Joe Boland, a superintendent with the RNC, is doing all he can to help Scottie Greene and his family. Boland and his Maple Leafs squad will present all money they raise to the Central IcePak, Greene's former midget team, before their game in Mount Pearl on Saturday night.
