Green economy sector development agency GreenCape has released the 2023 edition of its annual Market Intelligence Reports which highlights promising investment opportunities in key sectors in South Africa. The reports include sections highlighting key developments and achievements, the key players, legislation and regulation, market opportunities and challenges, as well as funding opportunities. The 2023 Water MIR estimates it would take R8.15 billion in investment to restore South African WWTW to a functional state. The various market opportunities are related to infrastructure refurbishment, repair, replacement, maintenance and expansion. Energy services investment opportunities highlighted for 2023:Rooftop solar PV installations: 600-900 mwp a year, R7.5 billion annually.
