Tom Hanks has been awarded honorary Greek citizenship. Greece's president Prokopis Pavlopoulos has signed an honorary naturalisation order allowing the 63-year-old actor to claim Greek citizenship, his office told The Associated Press on Friday. Hanks frequently spends his summer holiday on the Greek island of Antiparos and his wife, actress and producer Rita Wilson, is of Greek and Bulgarian ancestry. I'm more Greek than a Greek is' by being married to Wilson, producer of My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Rita also has two stepchildren from Tom's previous marriage - actor Colin Hanks, 42, and writer Elizabeth, 37.
