Great grey owl flips the script on Quebec City wildlife photographer

An “exhausted” penguin was rescued at a Victoria beach recently, footage posted to Instagram on March 17 shows. The video, shot by local freediver and photographer Jules Casey, shows the little penguin looking lost on the shore of Cameron’s Bight at Blairgowrie.“There was a little penguin which was exhausted and a long way from a penguin colony,” Casey told Storyful, explaining that there are penguin colonies at both St Kilda and Phillip Island.“This penguin was at risk of being harmed by a dog or fox if left to fend for itself, in the water they are fine but this one kept returning to the sand and did not move for 20 minutes,” she said.Casey phoned her friend Sam Gummer, a volunteer for Animalia Wildlife Shelter in Frankston, for help.“She was able to capture the penguin and I transported it to Animalia Wildlife Shelter where it is currently being cared for until it can be released back into the wild,” she said.An update shared to Instagram by Casey said that the penguin was recovering well and " growing stronger every day".Casey often posts footage of what she sees below the waves at Port Phillip Bay to her OneBreathDiver Instagram account, where she has over 90,000 followers. Her work documents interesting marine life, as well as dangers posed to underwater creatures by pollution.
