Trustees must consider whether it is in the interests of the children’s hospital to return £500,000 in past donations John Stillwell/PAGreat Ormond Street Hospital’s charity is preparing to reverse its decision to give back more than £500,000 raised from Presidents Club dinners. Trustees have approached the Charity Commission for advice on their options if they decide to keep the money rather than hand it back, as they had previously pledged to do. They are due to take a final decision next month after coming under pressure from other donors who are worried about the financial impact of returning such a large sum. The men-only dinner at the Dorchester hotel in London in January, where some guests were accused of sexually harassing hostesses, was attended by leading figures from the City, showbusiness, sport and politics.
