He may be 6ft 2in tall when standing on his back legs, but Great Dane Dez is such a scaredy-cat his owners dub him the real-life Scooby Doo. Mary-Ann Riley, 46, adopted her 6ft 2in Great Dane, Dez, when he was just 18 months old - but soon realised he wasn't quite the brave pooch she imagined. Much like his lookalike Scooby Doo, Dez would cower away and jump into his owner's arms at the slightest noise such as rustling paper bags or the dishwasher. After struggling with his fears for two years, Ms Riley decided to take the 11-and-a-half stone hound to behaviour therapy classes. Ms Ms Riley has now spent more than £1,500 on classes for Dez but, despite facing most of his fears, still runs for his life over certain things.
