A master sommelier is perhaps the most prestigious title to have for a wine service professional. The person responsible for the leaked information is likely an unnamed exam proctor, the Chronicle said, noting the proctors are themselves master sommeliers who have gone through an additional four-year training process. One new master sommelier, Morgan Harris, will be the only one to keep his title because he took the tasting portion of the exam last year, according to the New York Daily News.
