Photo ODTA project to redevelop the Cromwell Memorial Hall has had a significant boost today with a grant of up to $1.4 million from the Central Lakes Trust. A $5.4 million refurbishment was narrowly voted in by Cromwell Community Board members in February, after 16 years of debate and discussion since an upgrade was first suggested. ''We are also aware there has been much debate and differing community views on what is the most appropriate design option. It is important to note that this grant is not aligned to any particular redevelopment design option. Therefore, should the specifications of an upgrade be amended or if an alternative design option is decided upon, this grant will still apply.''
