Cabinet minister Grant Shapps revealed his family plans to take in Ukrainian refugees today - as Downing Street suggested that Russian oligarchs' UK mansions could be used to shelter those fleeing Putin's troops. Downing Street this morning indicated that the Prime Minister will not be taking in any Ukrainian refugees in No10. Members of the public will be able to nominate a Ukrainian family to stay with them for at least six months. Britons offering accommodation to Ukrainian refugees will receive a 'thank you' payment of £350 per month. The Health Secretary said he was considering whether he was able to host Ukrainian refugees in his home.
