The display follows preliminary findings, released last week, from a survey of the grounds at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School in British Columbia. Her grandmother was forced to attend the Brandon Residential School, and both her parents had to go to day school. She hopes to later have them permanently installed at the site of the former Brandon Residential School. The Indian Residential School Survivors Society (IRSSS) can be contacted toll-free at 1-800-721-0066. A national Indian Residential School Crisis Line has been set up to provide support for former students and those affected.
