City Mayor Koneru Sridhar lighted the Olympic torch, hoisted the flag and took salute from the students. He also asked the school management to give wide publicity to students who excelled in sports and games as it gave to those who excelled in the academics. Deputy Commissioner of Police (traffic) Kranti Rana Tata advised students to concentrate on both sports and education for overall development. The culture department of the school management deserved a pat on its back for it projected various facets of the Indian culture through several impressive dance ballads in an aesthetic way. This is a State meet where talented players from Sri Chaitanya schools from all over the districts will compete for honours,” said a school official.
