Grand Star Elementary students present English Learners ProgramStudents shared their love for the English Learners Program at the Monday, Jan. 9 school board meeting. They first spoke in their home languages of Swahili and Spanish before speaking in English. 74 students from Kindergarten through 4th grade are enrolled in the program. The three students shared their favorite parts of the program were the various culture celebrations because they learned more about their classmates had fun. Jenny Becker, ELL teacher, Colby Kromminga, 4th grade teacher and Principal Corina Ouellette accompanied the students.
