Information coming out of the southeastern County says supporters of the opposition Unity Party (UP) who were rejoicing followed the National Elections Commission (NEC) declaration that the Standard Bearer, Joseph N. Boakai has won the November 14 runoff election, his supporters, particularly Nimba citizens in that part of the have reportedly been banned by authority of the county from farmingAccording to report from the county, authority in the county is said to angry over the news that their son, President George Weah has conceded defeat, giving the presidency to the UP,The report further indicated that citizens ,particularly weayean town, for the past five days since the pronouncement by NEC, all UP partisans in that town decided to do a traditional dance putting white chalk on their faces and wearing the bumpers over their clothes to celebrate, in the process the town people got angry and imposed sanctions on all Nimbaians who are residing in the town, not to go in the bush for any farming , hunting, or gold mining activities. The report further noted that all Nimba women shops or businesses should remained close until they can pay the fine of $100,000LD, one cow five gallons of red oil, five gallons of alcohol etc. The Nimba Governor of grand kru county intervened, but the traditional people along with the town chief deliberately refused to adhere to our people’s plea, more than five days now, weayean town has marginalized our citizens residing there let us share this information.
