EQAO website shows a message on the OSSLT ( http://www.eqao.com/en )Thousands of students across the province arrived at school Thursday geared up to take the Grade 10 literacy test, only to find the technology failed them. “We acknowledge that we are experiencing widespread technical issues,” said an announcement posted on the EQAO website. “We regret to inform you that we have cancelled today’s assessment.” The literacy test usually takes place in the spring but Thursday’s version was a pilot by 190,000 students at 900 secondary schools in the province who volunteered to test the online version to determine whether it was ready to be rolled out next March.
