Grab, PNP ink road safety pact

TRANSPORT network firm Grab Philippines signed on Wednesday a memorandum of agreement with the Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) on road safety and security. Under the pact, drivers will undergo training on road safety and courtesy, anti-car theft, anti-highway robbery, and anti-criminality. All PUV and TNC drivers will be required to attend the academy to learn road safety, traffic signs and pavement markings, and road rage and anger management. Grab Philippines earlier promised the PNP to intensify security measures, after one of its drivers unknowingly delivered a package containing an explosive device. “This agreement is about Grab’s continuing commitment to provide safe and secure transportation to our passengers and partner drivers,” Cu said.
