Goyal snubs Tiwari, says no scribes at party event

more-inA day after the party's senior leadership had to step in to broker peace between him and a Union Minister, State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Manoj Tiwari found himself on the wrong side of another party colleague and Union Minister yet again on Tuesday. All, however, was forgiven by the end of the meet, according to insiders. Mr. Goyal, who arrived an hour late, asked media personnel to leave the auditorium saying he was “unaware” that they were a part of the intended proceedings. Before Mr. Goyal began his address, BJP’s national general secretary Anil Jain had already addressed the party members assembled in the presence of journalists. It was “okay” that media personnel were leaving, the Union Minister told Mr. Tiwari when the latter informed him of their presence as per prior invitation even as other senior Delhi leaders visibly attempted to placate confused journalists who had begun exiting.
