After a night of severe backlash over the decision to suspend internet services across the country to prevent SSC exam question papers from leaking, the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has withdrawn the initiative. As per the earlier decision, internet services nationwide were suspended at 8:00 am. But 10 minutes later, the regulatory body backtracked and issued instructions to restore services. Sumon Ahmed Sabir, lead technical official for BTRC, said internet speed is currently normal all over the country.
