DHAKA, Nov 18, 2024 (BSS)- Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md Nahid Islam today said initiative would be taken to reform the media on the basis of the report of the Media Reform Commission. Adviser Nahid said this in a meeting with a delegation of UNDP and UNESCO in his office at Posts and Telecommunications Division, according to a ministry press release. Nahid Islam, also Adviser of Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, said, media is one of the pillars of democracy and that is why Media Reform Commission has been formed by the interim government to ensure media freedom. He added that based on the report of this reform commission, initiatives would be taken to reform all public and private media. He expressed interest to cooperate with the media reform process of the interim government.
