Dhaka, Jan 18, 2024 (BSS) - The government is set to provide training to 80,000 students and graduates in the next two years through public universities under a programme titled, 'Digital Skills Training for Students' aimed at creating employment opportunities. More public universities will be included in phases to provide digital skills training for students. According to MoU, as many as 80,000 students will get training in three phases. Emphasizing the importance of conducting research and training to advance the ICT sector, ICT secretary Shamsul Arefin said many universities are facing a funding crisis. Shamsul Arefin stated that the government is implementing the Digital Skills for Students Training Programme through universities, with the aim of strengthening ties between government, industry and academia.
