KUALA LUMPUR: The government is currently reviewing the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2010 to ensure that it is in line with new developments in the field of data protection, says Communica­tions and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo. He said that the Ministry, through its Personal Data Protection Department, was looking to make PDPA compatible with new regulations on data protection introduced globally, such as in the European Union (EU).
