This would enable the Government to safely place New Zealanders arriving home into a managed isolation or quarantine facility, said Woods. They were also having to manage the flow of people into the country to match availability of managed isolation beds. Those leaving the country on Air New Zealand flights were not affected by the latest restrictions.
