ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Monday rejected the reports of major reshuffling in the bureaucracy and federal cabinet including removal of Finance Minister Asad Umar. Earlier in the day, reports made round that a major reshuffle is expected in the federal cabinet and bureaucracy as Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to remove Asad Umar as the Finance Minister and appoint him as the petroleum minister. PM House spokesperson and information minister, however, rejected the reports regarding the removal or change of any minister. “The premier regularly analyze the performance of every minister during the federal cabinet meeting,” the spokesperson said. Major changes are expected in the Ministry of Finance and Federal Board Revenue (FBR), the reports further claimed.
