DHAKA, March 10, 2024 (BSS) - State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Simeen Hussain Rimi today said the government is playing a pioneering role to flourish women leadership in the country as it increased budgetary allocation for that. She was addressing a seminar on "Action Aid Event for the Celebration of International Women Day" organized by Action Aid Bangladesh at Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation in the capital. Noting that half of the country's total population is women, Simeen Hussain said sustainable development cannot be possible keeping the women behind. She said today's investment behind women will yield manifold result in future. She said training is being provided to women at community level to make them self-reliant.
