The government engineering college, announced in last year’s State budget, will start functioning at Mosale Hosahalli in Hassan taluk, in the current academic year. The students appearing for CET counselling can opt for the college, which will be offering B.E. T. Rangaswamy, who was a senior faculty at the Government Engineering College at Hassan, has been appointed principal of the college. Meanwhile, construction of the building at the land allotted for the college has also begun”, he told The Hindu. The idea to have the college at the village attracted criticism from some quarters in Hassan as there was already another government engineering college at Hassan, about 15 km from Mosale Hosahalli.
