In continuation of the efforts to promote sports among students in schools, the Delhi government on Monday prepared a policy to extend financial support and specialised training for budding talent. The financial assistance would be provided directly to the sporting talents,” the government said in a statement. The policy will cover all students who are bonafide residents of Delhi for the last three years. Besides, specialised assistance will also be provided to the sports talent.“Training assistance, medical assistance and insurance assistance would be provided under the scheme to the selected talent,” the government added. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi has continuously been taking several initiatives to promote sports in schools.
