In this regard, there has been a telephone conversation between Secondary and Higher Education Division Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain, and Medical Education & Family Welfare Division Secretary Md Ali Noor. Secretary Mahbub informed Md Ali Noor that those four public universities’ laboratories have the necessary equipment and machines to detect Covid-19. Md Shakhawat Hossain, additional secretary (Medical Education) told Dhaka Tribune: “We forwarded the letter to the Health Services department. It will conduct a feasibility study and examine the security system of the labs as to whether they are fit for testing Covid-19 or not."
