Govt conducts interprovincial police transfers under new rotation policy

The government has introduced a new rotation policy under which senior officers of the Sindh police were transferred to Lahore, according to a notification issued on Saturday. These officers, who have previously served in Sindh with a domicile of the province, will not be able to get posted back for the next two years. Similarly, the services of DIG Fida Hussain Mastoi have been handed over to the Motorway Police and DIG Qamar Zaman and DIG Traffic Karachi Iqbal Dara have also been transferred to Punjab. It may be mentioned here that the PTI government had notified a new rotation policy for the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) and Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) in August last year. “The government wants the Sindh police to enslave police officers like ones in Punjab and KP,” he added.
