ISLAMABAD : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has given formal approval for Pakistan’s national cricket team to play its scheduled match against India in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, ending uncertainty surrounding the high-profile fixture. According to an official government announcement, the Pakistan–India match will be played as per the original schedule, with the clash set for February 15 during the T20 World Cup. The correspondence and dialogue focused on finding a practical and workable solution to the challenges Pakistan was facing in the lead-up to the tournament. Following extensive multilateral consultations, the government has directed the Pakistan national team to take the field for its scheduled fixture against India on February 15.
