Photo: Rajib Dhar/Dhaka TribuneReligious Affairs Ministry urges people to ensure health safety measuresThe government on Sunday urged Muslim devotees to offer Eid prayer in the nearest mosques instead of Eidgah and open spaces maintaining recommended health advice amid coronavirus pandemic. This year, the main congregation of Eid will be held at Baitul Mukarram national mosque instead of the National Eidgah following the hygiene rules considering the corona infection situation. On this occasion, the national flag will be hoisted in government, private buildings and Bangladesh missions abroad. It has been also decided to display the banner emblazoned with "Eid Mubarak" in important traffic islands of Dhaka city. Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar and private media will broadcast special programs with due importance and newspapers will publish special supplements.
