NEW DELHI: The defence ministry on Wednesday approved the Rs 490 crore proposal for the acquisition of 260 indigenous software-defined radio communication sets for naval warships.The defence acquisitions council, chaired by minister Nirmala Sitharaman , approved the acquisition of the radio sets designed and developed by DRDO 's Defence Electronics & Applications Laboratory at Dehradun.
