MUAR: The Government wants to strengthen the security of the country with active public involvement, said Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. He said the Ministry would embark on a nationwide programme to create better awareness about safety and security. He pointed out engagement with the public was important, adding the nation's safety is the responsibility of all Malaysians. Muhyiddin said new approaches would be taken to improve the country's security including the use of technology and human resources. Muhyiddin said the ministry would also review the role of the existing Village Development Committees (JKKK).
