An eye-watering £75million will be spent on the flights to rescue the many UK tourists stuck overseas, Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab announced today. The effort will only run in countries where commercial flights are not currently operating. These "special charter flights" would target areas where commercial flights are no longer an option. He said the first priority was to keep commercial flights open because only they had the infrastructure to deal with the spread of people needing to get home. Questions have also been raised over whether the official coronavirus toll accurately reflects the number of deaths seen in hospitals.
