Ministers have signed agreements with Virgin, Easyjet, Jet2 and Titan Airways committing them to helping bring passengers home by respecting bookings and offering alternatives where flights are cancelled. Stranded British tourists will be expected to pay for tickets on the charter flights through a dedicated travel management company. “This is a worrying time for many British citizens travelling abroad,” Mr Raab said.
