The Government will build new schools and classrooms for up to 100,000 children by 2030 to meet the demands of a growing population. "We are committed to not just delivering more student places, but ensuring we deliver those places where they are most needed." A new primary school in Wainui, north Auckland, will create 370 additional student places, with $20m allocated for construction. The investments announced on Friday represent about $200m of the $1.2b of funding for school property in the Wellbeing Budget.
