The Ministry of Public Administration issued the order on Thursday. The latest promotion takes the number of senior secretaries to 11. The promoted officials are Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah, Secretary to Ministry of Agriculture, M Aslam Alam, Rector at Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre, Md Eunusur Rahman, Secretary to the Bank and Financial Institution Division, and Khandker Anwarul Islam, Secretary to Bridges Division and Executive Director of Bangladesh Bridge Authority. All of them will continue at their current workplace. The Awami League-led government created the post of senior secretary in 2012 with more salary and benefits.
