Nikpe cautioned the board against taking over day-to-day management, stressing that they are to work collaboratively with management under good governance principles. The government has pledged to provide policy guidance and support to ensure the shipyard thrives, underscoring that the board’s success would reflect national progress. “We will work hand-in-hand with you to remove any bureaucratic hurdles and attract the right investments for the shipyard,” Nikpe added.
