NEW DELHI : The government on Tuesday extended the 'Sabka Vishwas’ dispute resolution and amnesty scheme for pre-GST era taxes by 15 days till January 15. Almost 73% of the total eligible taxpayers availing the scheme and have committed to pay tax dues of ₹30,627 crore, said the statement. It said that out of the 1.84 lakh taxpayers eligible to avail the scheme, as many as 1.33 lakh have so far submitted applications by Tuesday. “Sabka Vishwas is received by taxpayers as the most beneficial dispute resolution scheme ever announced by the government," said the statement. The extension of the scheme till 15 January, 2020 is a one-time exercise and is final, said the statement.
