The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) is probing whether any rules were broken after it was discovered £6,248.40 was spent on a corporate credit card at Hotel Chocolat on a single day by someone with the card, The Insider reports. The purchase was made on December 21 and is the single largest transaction made on an ICO corporate credit card in the last 10 months. (Image: REUTERS)This means someone who used the card could have splashed out on 36 of these Signature Cabinets. Most of the other transactions charged to the ICO's corporate credit card are for adverts, job listings, and web design. (Image: DAILY MIRROR)According to the ICO website it is primarily funded by organisations paying the data protection fee, which accounts for around 85% to 90% of its annual budget.
